Blitzstart works alongside Organigram on its acquisition of Berlin-based Sanity Group

Blitzstart has supported the Canadian cannabis producer Organigram Global Inc. in its acquisition of Sanity Group GmbH. With the combination, both companies are deepening their shared growth strategy and setting their sights on the further development of the European cannabis market.

Organigram Global Inc. is among the leading licensed cannabis producers in Canada and is listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market and the Toronto Stock Exchange. Founded in Berlin in 2018, Sanity Group GmbH is one of Europe's leading medical cannabis companies. As part of the transaction, Sanity Group was valued at up to EUR 250 million, making the combination one of the largest transactions to date in the European cannabis and healthcare sector.

Blitzstart accompanied the acquisition across the various phases of the transaction and contributed to structuring the transaction-related processes. Working closely with the legal advisers, insurers and banks involved, Blitzstart assisted in preparing the combination organisationally and contributed to its administrative implementation.
